The method of decaffeination, the process of extracting caffeine from coffee using purified water without added solvents, was the main inspiration for the Taresso decaf packaging design. Specifically, the extraction of caffeine is gradually achieved, monitoring the duration, the temperature and water pressure through the water tanks.

Visualising this process, the graphic element is based on the repetition the caffeine undergoes when it is gradually removed from the fruit stones, whilst the color palette underlines the water as a basic pilar of the procedure.
